An RE. 216 protection system comprises at least an electronic equipment rack Type 216MB62 with the electronic modules in serted (plug-in units) and a number of I/O units, which are in ef fect the interface with the primary plant. The protection system is available as a cubicle version or as a compact version.
shows an example of a 216MB61 equipment rack installed in the hinged frame of a protection cubicle. The elec tronic modules are designed as plug-in units, which are inserted from the front. The B448C parallel bus provides communication between the electronic units and is fitted to the rear of the rack. Also situated at the rear are the connectors for the standard ca bles to the I/O units and for connecting a printer.
The input transformer, auxiliary relay I/O and tripping relay units are mounted on the inside of the rear panel of the protection cubicle。
The number and type of electronic units installed, their locations in a rack, the number of racks and the number and arrangement of I/O units varies from plant to plant.
Refer to the corresponding set of diagrams for the execution of an RE. 216 system for a particular plant.
A compact version of the REG 216 protection is also available, which is basically a standardised equipment rack (see Section 2.3.). The compact version can be mounted either in an open frame or in a cubicle with other equipment.
REF542plus Multifunction Protection and Switchbay Control Unit integrates all the secondary functions in a single unit. This multifunctional unit also features a self monitoring function. All functions are designed as freely configurable software modules. Therefore, a wide range of operation requirements in MV stations can be met without any problems. The versatility of the software makes it possible to use the REF542plus on every switchboard independent on the specific application required.
Configuration
Each application for protection and control can easily be configured by software function modules, which make arbitrary definition of the following features as part of the secondary system possible:
LED’s (meaning and colors) for local indication
Single Line diagram to show the status of switching devices
Protection schemes
Control schemes
Interlocking schemes
Automation sequences
All functions in the switchbay can be specified in collaboration with ABB. The result of the configuration is saved and delivered together with the switchboard to the users. By using the “FUnctional block” Programming LAnguage (FUPLA) the REF542plus Multifunction Protection and Switchbay Control Unit offers engineers, especially those who are not software experts, the opportunity of easily updating the operation and handling of the switchbay.
For measuring web tension with shaft-mounted load cells, The Pressductor Radial Load Cell System is a high-quality system that provides exceptional and long lasting performance.
The Pressductor Radial Load Cells are ideal for applications on a wide range of web processing machinery in the converting, plastic film, printing, textiles, and other industries.
Covering a wide range of applications the Tension Electronics comes in four versions, with different levels of performance and functionality. All four versions have multi-language digital display and configuration keys. The configuration keys being used for setting different parameters and to check the status of the tension system.
The 2 x 16 character display can present sum, difference or individual load cell signals.
All four versions are available in both DIN-rail version and enclosed IP65 (NEMA 4) version for mounting in more severe environments.
n each technical field, and in particular in the electrical sector, a condition sufficient (even if not necessary) for the realization of plants according to the “status of the art” and a requirement essential to properly meet the demands of customers and of the community, is the respect of all the relevant laws and technical standards.
Therefore, a precise knowledge of the standards is the fundamental premise for a correct approach to the problems of the electrical plants which shall be designed in order to guarantee that “acceptable safety level” which is never absolute
Juridical Standards These are all the standards from which derive rules of behavior for the juridical persons who are under the sovereignty of that State
Technical Standards These standards are the whole of the prescriptions on the basis of which machines, apparatus, materials and the installations should be designed, ma nufactured and tested so that efficiency and function safety are ensured.
The technical standards, published by national and international bodies, are circumstantially drawn up and can have legal force when this is attributed by a legislative measure.
The load cell is machined from a single piece of stainless steel. The sensors are machined directly in the piece of steel and are positioned so that they are sensitive to force in the direction of meas urement and insensitive in other directions.
The load cell is mounted on a base with four screws, and the bearing housing is mounted on top of the load cell with four screws.
Every load cell comes calibrated and temperature compensated.
The load cells PFCL 201C/201CE/201CD are available in four measurement ranges, all variants have the same external dimensions.
The load cell PFCL 201C is equipped with a connector for the pluggable connection cable.
The load cell PFCL 201CE has a fixed connection cable with protective hose.
The load cell PFCL 201CD is provided with an acid-proof cable gland with a fixed PTFE- insulated connection cable.
