The Honeywell 5000TC conductivity sensors are specifically designed for monitoring conductivity, chemical concentration or salinity in complex processes where coating, fouling, corrosion or high temperatures and/or pressures are a concern.

Conductivity measurement can pose a challenge for complex processes where coating, fouling, corrosion or high temperatures and/ or pressures are a concern. The Honeywell 5000TC conductivity sensors are specifically designed for monitoring conductivity, chemical concentration or salinity in such difficult applications.

What Is It?
The Honeywell 5000TC toroidal (electrodeless) conductivity sensor measures the conductivity of solutions from 0.2 to 2000 millisiemens/cm. The sensors can be used for monitoring chemical concentration and salinity as well. The corrosion and fouling-resistant cells are available with a variety of mounting assemblies to ensure compatibility for applications in the chemical, food & dairy, refinery, pulp and paper, metal finishing and wastewater industries.

Available in two types of basic sensor forms – the convertible or sanitary style, these conductivity cells come in variety of material types including PEEK, PFA Teflon®, PVDF, and Polypropylene and a range of mounting options that meet diverse application needs. 5000TC toroidal conductivity cells minimize chemical compatibility issues and increase cell reliability.

How Does It Work?
The Honeywell 5000TC toroidal (inductive magnetic field cells) operate on a different principle than the traditional contacting electrode cell. The device sends an alternating current of known value through the primary coil which creates a magnetic field and induces a current in the process liquid. This in turn, induces a current in the pickup coil which is directly proportional to the conductivity of the liquid. These toroidal cells thus eliminate direct contact between the coils and the solution eliminating potential maintenance problems.

These cells come with a 1 ½” diameter bore which minimizes rough surfaces and flow impedance and a 1000Ω Platinum Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) which ensures proper temperature compensation.

What Problems Does It Solve?
Monitoring and measuring conductivity for difficult applications is a cumbersome process. Inaccurate conductivity measurements can cause product contamination. The Honeywell 5000TC conductivity sensors eliminate these problems with a non-contacting (torodial) solution that measures conductivity and help users with reliable data even from complex applications. In addition, the non-contact feature ensures easy maintenance.

What Is It?

With this advanced cellular pulse data logger, both input channels and stored consumptions can be independently scaled to different units of measure, providing maximum value and flexibility.

The CNI4 Pulse Data Logger is designed for low-power and outdoor operation. It is ideal for call-In applications involving meter data management (MDM) and can directly connect to PowerSpring or couple with the InvisiConnect software to interface with third-party MDM systems.

The CNI4 is fully integrated in the Honeywell Mercury® Instruments ecosystem and is easy to program through its Bluetooth Low Energy interface and associated configuration software. The unit can be configured using the same MasterLink software that is used to configure Honeywell Mercury electronic volume correctors, data loggers and modems. No additional software is required. In addition, MasterLink is now available as an app that can be installed on IOS and Android devices.

The CNI4 is CSA Class I Div 2 approved, making it a perfect solution for gas measurement applications where safety is always a concern.

How Does It Work?

The CNI4 supports pulse counting inputs. Pulse signal inputs (dry contact) and alarm inputs can be supplied from an external electronic corrector or other measurement device. An index base option with both a mechanical index display and pulse switch output is available.

What Problems Does It Solve?

The CNI4 offers a multi-channel, pulse recording, cellular wireless data logger, all in one composite case. It offers great benefits to users involved in energy measurement for billing, trading, load management, distribution engineering and custody transfer.

The CNI4 makes gas meter pulses available remotely to the billing system, can be mounted directly on the meter and is battery operated. It provides significant installation and operational savings.

The multi-channel data logger DL230 is used to determine peak loads and load profiles for gas meters with LF pulse outputs for commercial and industrial customers. Two of the four input channels can alternatively also be connected to encoder indexes. Inputs which do not record any consumption information or original meter readings can also be programmed as status inputs. This makes simple monitoring functions possible, such as the registration of station access or alarm signals from a volume conversion device. The integrated GSM/GPRS modem can be operated by batteries or optionally by an internal power supply unit. The use of DLMS/COSEM communication ensures secure data transfer using the very latest encryption methods. The automated transfer of data by the device to a retrieval or MDM system (PUSH mode) is another alternative.

How Does It Work?

Two independent pulse sources may be connected to the input channels of the Pulse Accumulator, each having its own 3.5VDC wetting voltage. The two channels act as independent accumulators.

In an operational Pulse Accumulator, pulses received at either input are assigned a fixed amount of volume via their respective Input Pulse Value selections. Additional pulse scaling can be applied using their respective Input Pulse Scaling items (if needed) before the pulses are stored (added) to their respective accumulated totals.
